Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist
Fly High Pediatric Therapy Center, Ocean Springs
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in providing exceptional speech and language services to children. The successful candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication disorders, working closely with children and their families to foster effective communication skills. This role involves implementing speech-language therapy plans, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and collaborating with parents to support each child’s unique needs. Experience with feeding therapy and AAC devices is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess communication abilities and identify areas of need.
- Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each child’s specific goals.
- Provide direct therapy services focusing on speech, language, feeding, and communication skills.
- Collaborate closely with parents and caregivers to educate them on strategies and progress, ensuring consistency in therapy approaches.
- Deliver speech-language therapy sessions that may include techniques for feeding therapy and use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices when appropriate.
- Monitor progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress notes in compliance with professional standards. Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, including speech therapy implementation and evaluations.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with children, families, educators, and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of feeding therapy techniques and AAC device utilization is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach toward working with children.

Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
Part-Time to Full-Time
Mississippi Behavior Services | Southaven, MS (DeSoto County, 20 minutes from Memphis)
Pay: [$40-$60 per hour, based on experience] | Flexible schedule | W-2 or 1099 contract available
Mississippi Behavior Services (MBS) is an established ABA therapy and home and community-based services provider in Southaven, Mississippi. We serve children and young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities through clinic-based ABA, DMH Waiver programs, and partnerships with local school districts. We are adding our first Speech-Language Pathologist to the team and are looking for a licensed CCC-SLP who wants to build a pediatric caseload with real clinical autonomy, strong administrative support, and a schedule that fits their life.
About the Role
You will provide speech-language evaluations and therapy to children ages 2-15 receiving ABA services at our Southaven clinic. Most sessions are clinic-based. Our BCBAs and behavior technicians will carry your communication goals into ABA sessions, and you will have their support in generalizing what you teach. Our administrative team handles insurance authorizations, billing, and scheduling, so your time goes to clients and documentation, not paperwork chasing.
Clinical Independence
The SLP leads all speech-language assessment and treatment decisions. You are not supervised by the BCBAs; you are a peer member of the treatment team. We welcome total communication, AAC, gestalt language processing, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
What Flexible Actually Means
- Hours: As few as [10–12] hours per week, up to a full-time caseload of [30–40] hours.
- Days: The clinic operates Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.– 5 p.m.
- Documentation: Session notes and reports can be completed remotely.
- Employment type: W-2 employee or 1099 contractor, your choice.
- Start date: Flexible.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy targeting functional communication, language, articulation, and social communication.
- Assess for and implement AAC when appropriate, and train staff and caregivers on its use.
- Collaborate with BCBAs and behavior technicians so communication goals are supported across the child’s day.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation that meets insurance requirements.
- Communicate progress with families and participate in treatment planning meetings.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Mississippi SLP license (or eligibility to obtain one before start).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
- Pediatric experience required; experience with autism, developmental disabilities, or AAC strongly preferred.
- Prior work in an ABA setting is not required.
